Part 15 of chapter 85 of the Common Legal guidelines, as showing within the 2012 Official Version, is hereby amended by putting out the primary sentence and inserting in place thereof the next sentence:— A automobile, whether or not stationary or in movement, on a public means, shall have hooked up to it headlights and taillights which shall be turned on
by the automobile operator and so displayed as to be seen from the entrance and rear throughout the interval of 1/2 hour after sundown to 1/2 hour earlier than dawn; supplied, nevertheless, that such headlights and taillights shall be turned on by the automobile operator in any respect different occasions when, as a result of inadequate gentle or unfavorable atmospheric situations, visibility is decreased such that individuals or autos on the roadway will not be clearly discernible at a distance of 500 ft or when the automobile’s windshield wipers are wanted
; supplied additional, that this part shall not apply to a automobile which is designed to be propelled by hand; and supplied additional, {that a} automobile carrying hay or straw for the aim of transporting individuals on a hayride shall show solely electrically operated lights which shall be 2 flashing amber lights to the entrance and a couple of flashing pink lights to the rear, every of which shall be a minimum of 6 inches in diameter and mounted 6 ft from the bottom.”
